not the liar in the oval office
but the leader of the senate
when the house of representatives, the peoples house, sends bills to the senate only to have them blocked by one man, that's wrong
that has to go along with the electoral college

McConnel polls the senators on which way they will vote on a bill. If not enough votes to pass McConnel doesnt bring it to the floor (waste of time). Its not that McConnel just decides on his own 🙄

But the speaker of the houss did decide on her own to impeach a sitting president, never held a vote. (liberal crickets)

he doesn't bring bills to the floor because he's afraid they will pass
mitch would like nothing more than to have bills voted down
but because a vote would force senators to go on record he is protecting them
there are several bills passed by the house with bipartisan support that are blocked
mitch, on his own, can bring bills up for a vote or not

@lemondrop
"there are several bills passed by the house with bipartisan support that are blocked
mitch, "

Example?

the bill was passed by the house with 30 republicans voting for it
mitch doesn't want the bill up for a vote
they are still trying to negotiate but the NRA is solidly against the bill and mitch would never oppose the NRA

because they oppose the restrictions on stalkers getting guns for one thing
like I said, mitch is never going to go against the NRA
hence no vote

gun restrictions are part of the bill

Why is it a crime to "never going to go against the NRA"?

For cripes sake, there are democrats that take "gifts" from the NRA. so what?

“Sens. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) had been tasked with trying to come up with an agreement to reauthorize VAWA, but Ernst said this week that she'll be offering her own bill, indicating the talks have reached an impasse”

Tell me how you are blaming McConnell?
