More than a decade ago, a mass shooting killed 26 people at Sandy Hook elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, including 20 children.
As evidenced by Monday’s mass shooting at an elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee—the 13th US school shooting in 2023 alone—things have gotten much, much worse. Gun deaths of children have surged 62% since Sandy Hook, and are now the top cause of mortality among American kids.

What Republicans don't want to face is the fact that far more kids die at home from guns than are killed at schools, by nearly 4 to 1.

Ah, so the death of children has nothing to do with teenage criminals buying AR15's and such.
Zombies want to gloss over the FACT that in the 90's assault rifles were banned and the death rate from guns went down 70%.
The NRA assswipes don't want to even acknowledge that fact AND those senators and house members still getting money and influence from the NRA.
It is a GOOD thing the NRA is almost bankrupt.
Their mantra is 'criminals will find a way to get guns' but they forget the idea that a teenager can get an assault rifle, so 18 year old criminals can shoot up a school.
If the age limit was raised to 21 at least those demented teens have to wait several years which by that time they are no longer in high school and would have gone on to other things, maybe even getting more mature but does the NRA and the legislator asssholes who will do nothing could care less.

The Tennessee shooter brought seven different guns legally; three of those guns were used in the school shooting.
