Last week, Joe Biden delivered the following insightful, thought-provoking remarks to an energized and enthusiastic crowd in West Palm Beach, Florida. As quoted by the Washington Post, the would-be Vice President said:
"If Barack Obama grew up in my neighborhood in Scranton or Claymont or Wilmington, Delaware, he would have been the guy who had my back. If you're looking for a very sophisticated Harvard graduate who went to Columbia undergrad and was president of the Law Review, he's totally intellectual. Baby, you ain't seen nothing yet. This guy is steel."
Can someone translate this into English or explain to me what Senator Biden means?

Translation: "Obama is loyal, smart and tough."

It is funny that you couldn't understand that, but you could understand this - "I know that John McCain will do that and I, as his vice president, families we are blessed with that vote of the American people and are elected to serve and are sworn in on January 20, that will be our top priority is to defend the American people. "
For the record, "got your back" is a colloquialism meaning that he will be there when you need help or he will protect the side that you cannot, yourself, watch.
Harvard and Columbia are Ivy League Universities. Being the president of the Harvard Law Review is considered to be quite prestigious. Biden was explaining that his guy, by being the president of the Law Review is more intelligent than the current Yalie who skated by on his family laurels.
"You ain't seen nothing yet" means that there is still more to be seen.
"They guy is steel" implies that he is tough.
If there is anything else that I can help you out with, please, let me know.

Hey genius, I'm not at your beck and call. In the meantime, Biden has been at it again:

This gaffe should lose the election for the Dems.
