Which right wing Trump-nut, DeSantis-loving COVID fan spewed this conspiracy theory?

The other important thing is that if you look at the children who are hospitalized, many of them are hospitalized with COVID as opposed to because of COVID; and what we mean by that is that if a child goes to the hospital they automatically get tested for COVID; and they get counted as as a COVID hospitalized individual when, in fact, they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that. So it's over counting the number of children who are, quote, "hospitalized with COVID" as opposed to because of COVID.

I've heard the same thing about Covid deaths.
Guy comes in with some kind of medical problem and dies, they test him for Covid and if it's positive they put down Covid as the cause of death.
Or at least that's what some hospital staff members are claiming.

My girlfriends brother died of an overdose and his mom said the nurses were going to put covid on the death certificate/paperwork and she argued with the hospital staff.
They settled with "heart problem"

In case anyone is wondering, the quote is from Anthony Fauci, yesterday on MSNBC.

I've linked to it twice on Twitter, but Twitter keeps taking down the Tweets.

I s--t you not.

Here it is now:

I imagine this link will only be up for a little while longer, so watch it while you can.

Wow I'm surprised he came out and admitted it.
It runs contrary to his fear mongering platform.

Hooray! This gives COVID minimizers like yourself the excuse to ignore the most important point of the interview i.e. that parents should get their kids vaccinated. And that's great because that way more of them will get sick, some seriously so and perhaps hundreds more will die!

Good work.

Maybe public health messengers could better convince people of something if they didn't constantly mislead them. A healthy child is statistically under almost no threat from COVID (especially Omicron) and it's very unclear whether the risk of myocarditis from a 2-dose mRNA vaccine regimen to a healthy young boy is greater or lesser than the risk from COVID.

The contempt that many public health messengers have for the judgment and decision-making skills of parents (insofar as that they must be mislead into making the "right" decision) is noted.

You have a strange version of 'admitted'. As if because he did 'admit' it, he is now liable for criminal charges. You are extremely transparent.
You could care less about the progress of science when there are steps backwards and steps forwards and when we learn something new we act on it to reduce the severity of whatever malady has hit us.

But for you ANYTHING they say is WEAPONIZED for your own sick agenda.

I am ashamed we were both in the same military service.

How many dead kids do we need before you stop with this BS?

I guess it was inevitable you'd drift into MB anti-vaxxer turf.

Of course it couldn't POSSIBLY have been where covid tipped him over the edge because it messes with organs all over the body, kidney, brain, heart.

And?
What is your point?
Do you even have a point?

You are pathetic. I am not anti vaccine, I am anti gene therapy treatments for healthy children.

How many kids die from the flu each year on average?
Compare that to how many kids die from covid.

Which is the higher number moron?

COVID in conjunction with certain other co-morbidities can lead to death, which the patient could have survived had he had either one, but not both COVID and the other co-morbid condition. As was in Colin Powell’s case, for example. So there is some validity to claiming that some deaths are due to COVID, although the patient might not have known he had COVID at the time of admittance into hospital.

Clearly, a broken leg is not such a case, but neither is a broken leg likely to be fatal.

That's false. Children are less likely to be under threat from Covid compared to adults, but not "unlikely" to contract it.

This article from just yesterday:

US children hospitalized with COVID in record numbers

The omicron-fueled surge that is sending COVID-19 cases rocketing in the U.S. is putting children in the hospital in record numbers
