1988 Context: In 1988, Trump was already a well-known figure, making headlines for his business exploits and media appearances.

This guy is amazing....Kargh Island is today in his sights, for valid reason, don't you think?!!?!?!!??

Look back to 1988, his saying that 'it should be done';,,,,,,how did he know? Because he was aware of world events as far back as 1988. Do you like him for president? For president....not for an evening out.

In 1988 the Trump organization was bleeding cash, as Trump struggled to finish construction on the Trump Taj Mahal. Trump borrowed money from his father, failed to pay many of the construction, service, and casino staff.

Trump went on TV in a failed attempt to puff up his brand in the hopes it would win him favor with the bank examiners who now saw Trump as a poor credit risk. This led to the 1st of his 6 bankruptcies in 1991. Trump's views about Iran were off the cuff comments born of a desperate attempt to look and sound like a competent leader and were not based on any amount of research or hard evidence.

I've read most of Trump's books, from the Art of the Deal to Our Journey Together. He wrote only small portions of them; the bulk of the real work was done by co writers and secretaries. He writes, speaks and thinks like a 6th grade playground bully. If you bother to scratch the surface of Trump, you'll discover the emperor has no clothes.

After reading this, I think Trump is horrible, and I will not vote for him ever again. He don’t know nothin. He is a failure at everything..
I get it now McHill. . This is what you have all been trying to tell us all these years. Trump fails at everything he does.
His mantra America First really makes me mad He could learn a few things about bowing to our enemies, like Obama does.

Dear Joe - All of this is in the public records, and courtroom transcripts. I'm sorry, but I can't change history just to make the MAGA folks like you feel better.

Of course, we cannot change history. It was all I could do to keep from laughing at your post as I wrote that sarcasm. So funny, you are writing his art of the deal and you are going back to his business mistakes, I would say a guy who has five casinos and loses one of them is a great success. You guys know nothing about business and I suggest you don’t write about it’ll. you have never taken a risk in your life. I would never have a president who has not taken a risk. Do you think Jimmy Carter ever took a risk? Was he a great president? You libs need to get a picture of the real world.
You guys are wrong on so many issues. Do you know Shav says that we should not have bombed Hiroshima.? Golly I think I will agree with Shav! And you, and Sunhouse, and the effervescent, Suzanne,.

Im pretty sure someone did the math to show that if trump had invested his inheritance in an index fund instead of all those shady real estate deals he would be a lot more wealthy today.

Your pomposity never fails to amuse me.

What would scare me is if more people took you seriously.
