From the Times interview:
""We're a department store, a giant department store, the biggest department store in history," adding, "It's a giant, beautiful store, and everybody wants to go shopping there". He then said, "And on behalf of the American people, I own the store, and I set prices, and I'll say, if you want to shop here, this is what you have to pay".
Sounds like socialism to me.
But OF COURSE the ultrarightwingnuts will have a BUNCH of statements as rationale for that statement in the Times interview.
Lets hear them. We are DYING to hear them.
Also in that interview, this tidbit:
"Do you want to maintain 80 years of American leadership in defending the West, especially Europe, or do you want to change the architecture of the post-war world that has kept us out of a World War for the last 80 years?
Trump: I want them to pay their bills. Very simple. NATO is fine. See, the problem I have with NATO is, I don't think that NATO would come to our defense if we had a problem. "
Totally neglecting WHO IT WAS who DID come to our aid after 9-11.
NATO, that is who.
What a lying POS HYPOCRITE.
@sonhouse said"On behalf of the American people...".

Yeah, bull. On behalf of himself and his rich buddies, he meant. He and Musk have nearly destroyed the Federal government. He's certainly not doing anything on my behalf. It's all on his own, grifting ass's behalf.
He's made $600 million in five months. How many billions will we let this grifter get away with?
@Suzianne saidTDS much🤣, you’re sources are firing you up, getting the sheep ready for something big.

@sonhouse saidThat interview highlights the whole problem with putting a businessman in charge of a government. Government should not be run like a business. It's bad for government and bad for business. Trump simply does not understand how government works. Justice should not go to the highest bidder. International security is not about paying bills. Ending a war, or not getting into one in the first place, is not like cheating banks out of loans for real estate deals.

@mike69 saidThe only TDS is that shown by you Trumpublicans, thinking Trump is a good president.

He is a bully and a pretender, a usurper on a throne of his own making.
Exactly like his Cabinet, he is inept, and incapable of making the correct decisions to move this republic forward, instead of backward. He is the single worst president of all time. I can only hope this nation will recover from this goon squad, given enough time without him in charge.
@Suzianne saidYou ever notice I very seldom even mention Trump. Get some help, talk to someone Suzianne and lay off all of your news for a bit the sky isn’t falling.

@mike69 saidIt's odd how suzy never had a complaint about Biden and the Dems and thought everything was swell, but now Trump is some kind of anti-christ.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidThey really don’t realize how much their being controlled and used as a tool to disrupt like the paid protestors except their free.

@sonhouse saidIt isn't socialism, it's a childish analogy, to which a childish response would be that if things get expensive in one shop, then people will shop somewhere else. There are plenty of other 'shops' in the world....

It's all part of the great dumbing - down which Mister Trump is attempting to foist on the American people; bring everyone down to your level and rule; the naivety is astonishing.
It isn't going to work. there's enough intellectual base in the US to see this off, eventually. A great deal of damage will be done in the meantime, but it will end.
To paraphrase Sir Winston Churchill during World War II, "The Americans will do the right thing, once all other possibilities have been eliminated."
@Suzianne saidSo, do you think that we should limit how much money a man makes? I am asking for a friend.

A bricklayer at a playgrournd that I am raising funds for says that if I make $125,000 a year that that is about enough. It is, after all, 4 times more than he makes. Do you agree with his thinking. I hesitated to tell my other Board Members that he feels that way, as they re contributing a LOT of their own money for the playground. It is next to the Boys and Girls Club which I personally paid for myself last year.................................................where city workers, mostly immigrants, can drop off their kids for the day, after school.
It's Ok if you don't follow.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidWell, duuhhh...

The whole world now knows the White House is for sale.
As much corruption as a third-world country.
