We'll start with Jimmy Kimmel. While I found his comments to be outrageous and false, and think he deserves to be fired, it's more outrageous that the government apparently put pressure on ABC to fire him.
By most accounts, the FCC told ABC that their broadcast license would be revoked unless they took Kimmel off the air.
"Pressure" is too light a term. It seems like Disney as a public company shouldn't have to allow ABC to be taken off the air just to prove the point that fascists now run our government.

Someone dug up this speech JD Vance gave back in February, a position on free speech that he and Steven Miller and Marco Rubio and Pam Bindi and Donald Trump have completely abandoned in a few short months. Now they favor not only censorship but outright punishment for expressing viewpoints they disagree with.
But sh76 says we should keep on waiting to see what they will do next before we start calling them fascists.
