Yes, this is still under perusal, keeping in mind many presidents have been given 'symbolic' gifts, but be assured a $100k gold bar is hardly going to sway trump on tariffs. Tariffs are negotiated economic deals, Trump is not thinking of gold, he is already quit wealthy. They picked gold, as Trump is intrigued by gold. If he liked porcelain, It could have been a rare porcelain bowl. This gesture is part of high-stakes diplomacy. You cannot fault Sweden, they have a lot riding on exports...., the gift is symbolic. Relax.
So, can you fault a president for accepting just another gift for a Presidential Library? Was the Qatar plane a gift to Trump personally? Would you be upset if it were a porcelain bowl worth $100k?
