@AverageJoe1 saidLMAO! YOU brought it up, not me. Of course, it has no legal effect - he doesn't have to swear on the Bible at all - it's just his stupidity in forgetting to put his hand on the Bible when it was right next to him in his wife's hands. Like I said, he is old and somewhat feeble minded so it's understandable.
The U.S. Constitution does not stipulate that a president-to-be place his or her hand on a Bible when taking the Oath, because each president who recites this oath or affirmation is “bound” by the words themselves, per Article VI. The same article also says that “no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United Sta ...[text shortened]... easing Trump could get out of hand if this thread falls into the wrond hands , like sue or Zhalanzi!
And, of course, if a Democrat had forgotten to do so, the screeching from right wingers would be deafening. So this is just typical hypocrisy from the weak and gullible like you and Mott.

I do not even understand your last sentence, what Bitcoin has to do with anything.
I'm sure they are for you little joe; I guess that means I and Suzanne are above you in brains; as most here are.
I find it funny that you were in this forum posting a thread defending Dump, before anyone else said anything; on why he didn't place his hand on the Bible during his oath to lead our country. Strange indeed. π That's something a lover would do for their partner. π

@Sleepyguy saidI think Mott's "Fauci killed more than Hitler" is funnier but humor is a personal taste.
This thread is hilarious. It's already shaping up to be a fun four years.

@no1marauder saidwhat did he receive a pardon for?

scotus has ruled accepting a pardon is admission of guilt!
@AverageJoe1 saidI'm glad that YOU were the first to notice that he refused to place his hand on the Bible during his oath.

@moonbus saidOK, I just watched the video. He raised his right hand, as instructed by the Chief Justice. Where his left hand was is not visible in the video. However, still photos from a different angle clearly show Melania holding two thick books, and she's too far away from him for his hand to be on either of them.
It's not just that he did not put his hand on the Bible. He 'swore' with the wrong hand raised. That's the crux of the biscuit right there, and it was deliberate. It's the equivalent of making a schoolyard promise with your fingers crossed behind your back--making the promise not binding. Just you wait ... he'll claim he never swore an oath to uphold the Constitution.

@AverageJoe1 saidthe problem would be the hypocrisy, ya dingus. We know damn well Trump is Christian only for the sheep who vote him. Touching or not touching a fictional book should have 0 meaning.
O my gaaa, Shouse is about to come out of the gate!!! It is a flawed swearing-in!!

If Obama did this you would claim he is the anti-christ. Or muslim (which you did anyway).
We could do the same and say Trump is possessed by Satan himself... if it were not so damn stupid to stoop to your level
