@shavixmir
All you have to do to see the connection is to look at early Hitler when he won over HIS base. After that up till the time he committed hari kari, his base was unswerving.
The sad part is it goes past the idea of dumb and smart people. Just deluded people who can't admit they were wrong
Like they might say, he is an SOB but he is OUR SOB.
His latest hour long scree was just more evidence as to how far he and the country has fallen.
@bunnyknight saidWe need just 5 wins in the Senate plus Biden and we liberals control all 3 branches. Let us hope it happens.
@sonhouse
What I predict is that under Biden no significant improvements will occur, which will lead to a president far worse than Trump in 2024. Remember, it's a war between the super-rich and the rest, not between left and right, so be careful what you wish for.
@shavixmir saidTrumpsters I know claim they find his personal life, his tweets, etc. distasteful. However,they love he is so openly white supremacist, they love that he hates immigrants unless they are from Norway, and they think he is a brilliant businessman and deal maker. Some of these folks have advanced college degrees. Many well educated individuals supported Hitler too.
“His deranged base”
Well put, in your other post.
I think a far more interesting take on the trump supporter is: how do they come to the the conclusions that they do?
I mean, it’s so far off normal that it’s hard to imagine large groups of people having those sorts of sentiments.
You only have to listen to trump for 2 minutes and you know there’s something wrong.
How come these people don’t see it? What’s the mechanics behind that?
@Soothfast
It is felt democrats will lose two seats in the Senate so we have to have 5 to overcome those possible losses.
I hope we get TWENTY but I am clearly dreaming.
@sonhouse saidI think there's a fair chance Dems will lose no seats. Not even the one in Alabama.

Back in February a poll put Tuberville only 8 points ahead of Senator Doug Jones, Democrat of Alabama. That's not good if you're a Republican in Alabama and your opponent hasn't even really laid into you yet. Doubly not good for Tuberville considering the pandemic is only now getting started in Alabama, and just about the first thing the virus does anywhere is reveal Republican public health policy as the stone-cold murderous fraud that it is. It's why Texas is in play now, and the dying has barely gotten started there.
@bunnyknight saidSo you're voting for Trump with your non-vote.
There were at least three candidates with integrity and courage willing to fight for true justice, but were swiftly "removed" from the main stage by powerful forces behind the curtain. If I am unable to vote for any of those three, I will simply walk out without voting. I will not be forced to choose from only 2 really bad options.
Thanks for, literally, nothing.
@soothfast saidWell, Sessions lost his primary, so it looks better all the time.

@suzianne saidWe actually agree on something!
Well, Sessions lost his primary, so it looks better all the time.
