Right here in my home town they have redone a dozen streets, one road where I go to work was completely repaved, about five MILES of it and not just a patina of a quarter inch of asphalt but a multi layer real road job and they are working other roads here as well, major ones.

State spending is typically for highways and tollways, whereas local governments spend more money on local streets and roads.
That's your tax dollars at work. Not the bills the Dems signed. Every region has a budget so if your roads were repaired, thank your local representative.
Not only that but that kind of work is a regular occurrence for cities and towns.
If they don't spend the budget, it gets reduced, so a lot of work is just for show too.
