The claim about London wanting Sharia Law was seriously embarrassing for your President. - Sure, there are some councils who use Sharia law within a religious context/community (to resolve divorces and the like) but these have no legal power in London or anywhere else in the UK. The idea that London wants Sharia law {to replace the legal system that has served us well for longer than your country has existed) is as ridiculous as thinking escalators have it in for him.

Sharia, In the UK, is used in the context of family matters, but decisions (within councils) are not legally binding and do not override UK law.
