Steve Bannon told lawmakers he was willing to answer questions about his time in the White House but the Trump administration had instructed him not to, the committee issued a subpoena on the spot to compel him to cooperate.
It seems even Republican lawmakers are growing tired of the Trump administration's efforts to play hide and seek with the facts in this investigation. If the Trump administration is as innocent as they claim, why are they not cooperating? What are they hiding? Why not let Steve Bannon answer their questions?
In other news, Steve Bannon has been issued a grand jury subpoena by Robert Mueller. Mr. Bannon had better pray to his personal God that his testimony passes the smell test, lying to a grand jury will land Mr. Bannon in an environment he may not be 100% comfortable with, however considering this administrations fast and loose attitude with the truth, I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Bannon thinks he can beat the system.
