I cannot pretend to be surprised any longer. The guy is the most insane western leader since King George III.

I assume that the intention was that he would say he was thankful for the opportunity to make such a difference; unfortunately his superego got in the way, and nobody else has an ego as superduper as the Donaldo's.

I'd like to see footage of him walking towards the helicopter when a small child runs over to him and kicks him hard in both shins and runs off with the Secret Service in hot pursuit, while the theme to the Benny Hill show plays in the background.

Those were his own kids, which is why he will throw them under the bus when push comes to shove.
