"Team Trump gives an assignment to JD Vance — tell the Catholic Church stay out of politics!
JD Vance has been assigned by the US president to warn the Catholic Church in American that it could face investigation and a loss of its tax advantaged status in the US if its clergy ventures into politics. This is probably not in response to a discussion yesterday with a number of Prelates on the BBB, but may have been simmering a while.
Trump, whose VP is catholic but who has been in discussions for several months about a national religion that could be defined as American Fundamentalism, has been getting more upset at the Catholic Church who has often failed to fall into line and do what they are told. Several incidents of ICE agents kicking in church door and roughing up priests have been only hushed up with great difficulty, and has been seen as a direct challenge to the supremacy of the state over the church. Trump has also discussed with Laura Loomer how much money the Catholic Church has tied up in property and investments, money that could be liberated to help pay for the massive deficits that even Trump insiders are worried could crush the economy.
The hope among team Trump is that someone will be able to talk Trump down on the Catholic Church and keep Loomer and other Loomertics out the the room with the highly suggestible and increasingly confused president. While 2025 and its extended blueprints see and end to opposing religions under a new interpretation of the 1st Amendment, where freedom of religion revolves around freedom to follow the state religion as defined by the state, it is seen as a bridge to far until midterms."
