@thedogandthecello saidSome states which criminalize abortion are trying to criminalze leaving such states to get legal abortions elsewhere. Restricting freedom of movement goes way beyond restricting abortions.

I'm not against abortion. I just find it to be a nothing burger. It's not hard to not get pregnant.
Smart people do it all of the time.
Also, plenty of states allow it so drive there or move there.
"It's not hard to not get pregnant" you say. Can you imagine how hard it is for an 11 yr-old to say to "no" to an uncle or a step father or a half-brother? Some religious 'authorities' condemn abortions for raped 11 yr-olds:

(Sorry that's behind a paywall, but the headline says it all.)
The problem with Trump/Vance is, they're too cowardly to actually come out say what's what on this issue. They both keep waffling, trying not to alienate the Evangelicals on the one hand, and not alienate the rest of the country on the other. Trump brags about having stacked the SCOTUS which overturned Roe, but won't commit to a federal ban (which is what Evangelicals hoped he would implement, once Roe fell). Sending it 'to the states' was a waffle from the git-go.
@thedogandthecello saidThat is what the radical Evangelicals are aiming for, and they're making no secret of it.

No laws stating a victim of rape or incest must have the baby if they become pregnant.
If they wait too long then, I dunno...
You sound like sonhouse blaming us for stuff that might happen.

@thedogandthecello saidWhat is "it"? You can't say what happened?
@vivify
Just say you didn't watch it.
When it happened it seemed like everyone watched it.
Quit acting like I'm supposed to write you an essay or something.
Every Trump exactly is the same; no facts, no specifics. This is why you all fact-checks: you don't use facts.
@moonbus saidDo you want to be truly disgusted?

This is in fact where radical Evangelicals are trying to take America. Overturning Roe was not the goal, it was only the beginning.

The sheer amount of indoctrination being done by Charlie Kirk and company is shocking.
And to my everlasting disgust, I found out this week they are headquartered right here in Phoenix, Arizona.

Oh, you mean Trumpublicans.
All this time, conservative men have taken advantage of abortion to keep from having to pay child support.
And now, they are all self-righteously against it, just because their Orange Jesus claims to be against it.
Hypocrisy at its worst.
@thedogandthecello saidNo, we're wondering which returning previously-banned user you might be.
Are you asking for my real name? It's a common name so I will say it if you want it.
You getting a crush on me?

Religion in North America is on life support.
Fundamentals are few and far between.
If that is the right word for them.
