In like manner we should also probably dismiss every right wing nut that claims a low taxing small government deregulated laissez faire capitalist mode of society is good for you.
In case you missed the news, one trillion dollars of debt needs to be written off because of the sub prime debacle, because the market couldn't or didn't want to be told or controlled. How any right wing conservative honestly swallowed, that a market that self regulated was good for society, needs to be given a dummy and sent back to kindergarten.

first of all, that the UK is the center of anti-semitism in Europe is bollocks. take a look at anti-semitism in Eastern Europe. Much worse.

secondly, this article is bollocks. this israelian historian clearly has an agenda. his point that british press is pro-palestinian has nothing to do with anti-semitism. once again, criticism of israel is labeled as anti-semitism, in an attempt to disregard legitimate criticism of a state's actions, which have nothing to do with anti-semitism.

and in the end, with his statement that "The loss of Christian identity in what was the most Bible-believing culture in its day is one of the deeper layers of what has happened here" he is merely trying to blame the whole thing on the muslims.

complete and utter bollocks!

If he had found no anti-Semitism, it would have been a short lecture.

edit: A professor of anti-Semitism has given a lecture that he has discovered...anti-Semitism! Rampant! In our own country! How predictable was that?
I think your bias kicked in. Nowhere does it say he's a professor of anti-semitism. He's a historian. He wrote a book on anti-semitism. Does studying/researching anti-semitism make him disqualified as a speaker on the subject?

Do you make sure that the people you listen do NOT research their subject before you give them undue attention?

The left wing isn't allowing the market to settle. My parents are looking at buying a home. Guess they'll have to pay more because the government wants to protect the entrenched homeowners. The government is artificially raising home prices with my tax dollars.

On the other hand allowing the market to find its own depth can mean people will be trapped by their land/house choices, finding it impossible to move on or take their equity anywhere else. Deflation can be a bitch!
