Voters are done with moderates

I think everyone on a base levels understands the importance of moderation and sustainability. Protect long-term health, maintain balanced relationships, avoid fixations on extreme viewpoints.

So why is everyone in America now either a socialist or a fascist?

In short time, Chuck Schumer went from a well-regarded centrist Democrat to either a boring milquetoast Democrat or a socialist.

In short time, John Cornyn went from a conservative Republican moderate to either a boring milquetoast Republican or a fascist.

Voters are done with moderation. Republicans have successfully shifted narratives to take what used to be extreme positions on issues like immigration, taxation and made them mainstream. Democrats are letting them do it, and now the Democratic votes are coming in for Mamdani and Graham Platner and a Democratic Socialist just won in Colorado as well.

Why is moderation dying? Can it come back? I miss it.

You Democrats have taken center and now call it right wing. Pushing Republicans, which were right wing, over to fascist and claiming far left is Democrat when successful Democrats were mostly center.
