@AverageJoe1 saidSo am I.
Of course. But I am writing about a simple moral, if nothing else, responsibility of one man to pay back money that he owes another man. I think you agree with that, which is all I ask.
But you want to take it a step further about what options are open to him if he has any reason not to do so. Certainly y’all can discuss that, but thank you for agreeing that a man has such responsibility.
Sincerely, AvJoe
Nothing wrong with borrowing money, declaring bankrupcy and starting anew.
Good idea for student loans too. No problemo.

@sonhouse saidThis is what wrote, man or entity. Can’t you comprehend anything?!?!?!? (Cool I’ve always wanted to say that!]
@AverageJoe1
A student loan partially paid off is not a debt to a 'man'.
Yes, they request me, I request them, and the wheels go round and round
While I have you, someone in these threads seems to have a problem with this question and veer off subject. If someone borrows money from some entity or from someone else, should that person not be the person to pay the money back.? The question is so simple, it is one of those things that a liberal cannot get their arms around.
FROM SOME ENTITY OR SOMEONE ELSE. Sonhouse again goes down in flames. But the funny thing is how you endeavor to play gotcha. You don’t pull it off. And that the question is borrowing,and paying back. WHOM the loan comes from is so irrelevant that your post is silly.
Are you actually suggesting that it makes a difference if the loan is from an entity (bank?) or a guy at my office or a guy I met at the park? Sonhouse?..?"

@shavixmir saidRight? Nothing wrong with bankruptcy, I have said it for days, and, for years.

But bankruptcy has nothing to do with this issue. Shav tried to move on to another issue of what to do if yodont WANT to pay it off!
Oh wait, this IS Shav!

Straying just a bit from the OP, the existential threat Trump and Project 2025 represents to our democracy.
@AverageJoe1 saidYou said yourself that bankruptcy is a good thing.

Bring it on.
