Is this 'war' being won or lost at the moment. If 'lost' then what can be done differently so that it will be won?

Just admit that there's no terror out there, and then this artificial war will stop.

Just count the amount of people killed by the most powerfull nations out there, and when the presumed "terrorist" people out there reach 1 billion part of that total, then start to worry about something meaningful.

I think the Bush family want the American flag flying over Mecca next.

They are already beyond that figure.

Can I ask for a recount?

So on one hand,

The French Republic
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
The United States of America
The Republic of China

What do you have on the other hand?

The so-called "war on terror" is nothing more than an attempt to oversimplify a complicated situation by a "lightweight who relies on gut instinct not reason and who prefers feel-good rhetoric to serious analysis. (A man) incurious to the point of doltishness..." (The Economist, 7OCT2006).

Like the "war" on poverty and the "war" on drugs, this "war" which is not a war will be lost.

The unfortunate part is that making out that the we are "at war with terror" actually hinders us from starting the dialogue we need to to begin setting things right. It paints us into an ideological corner.

The problem with having a hammer (i.e. a strong military), is that everything starts to look like a nail.

This is why I think it's wrong to forgive americanised scum, because they will continue to eat more pies until we get to a dog eat dog world. Neanderthals.
