to have the Epstein files released, as mandated by law. It was not the break-in which ultimately toppled Nixon, it was the cover-up. Similarly, it is no longer relevant whether Trump himself raped children 15 yrs ago. It is no longer even relevant whether there would be enough evidence to convict him of child rape, 15 years later. What is relevant now is that he is so obviously covering up for other people who raped children, and it is that which will ultimately topple Trump, as it did Nixon. Trump, however, unlike Nixon, has no shred of decency; Trump will not have the sense or the courage to resign, but will force a constitutional crisis. This will ultimately drag down, not only himself, but his associates in the WH and Congress. If they are not wise enough to realize that he would throw anybody under a bus to save himself (remember Rudy Giuliani?), and remove him by invoking the 25th Amendment, then they too will go down with him as the most vile & contemptuous American administration, ever.

America's Caligula and his willing yes-men (and yes-women).

Don't anyone come at me now with "but the Democrats had X-years to release the files .." Poppycock. Epstein's vile scheme came to light in 2005 during the Bush administration. He was given a few months probation instead of 40 yrs in prison, and his accomplices were given no-prosecution guarantees. Wanna know who negotiated that deal? A man PRESIDENT TRUMP later installed in his cabinet. The cover-up goes deep, and it goes right to the top.

It's not about the files, its about pursuing criminal prosecutions. Pam Bondi's testimony tells all we need to know. Trump's hired at least a dozen dudes who are all in the Epstein files to work for his government. The idea I think is that the prosecutions are too harmful for government at this point, since all the pedos are in powerful positions.

Pam Bondi: What are you all complaining about? You want us to prosecute pedophiles who work in government while the Dow is at 50,000?

Nixon did later admit that he made serious mistakes. He owned his downfall. Watch the interview with David Frost.

Trump won't own his own downfall--Trump will complain til he dies that HE's been the victim of a witch hunt.

Ah, David Frost -- when journalism was not just a profession, but a vocation.

Just hearing again the voice of David Frost is so evocative, for me. I grew up listening to him on tv. He was a giant.

The Frost-Nixon interview should be required viewing for everyone who intends to pursue a career in journalism. It stands today as a landmark, how Frost manoeuvred the wily Nixon into admitting that he, Tricky Dick, was the architect of his own demise.

Journalists today let themselves be too easily intimidated or simply ignored. When Trump dodges a question with "quiet piggy!", every other journalist in the room should either walk out and deny him the publicity he so desperately craves, or keep asking the same question over and over which triggered his ire.

The thing no journalist seems yet to have twigged is, that when Trump erupts like that, with anger and threats and insults, and then runs behind the cabin door of Air Force One, it is a fear reaction--it's fight and flight, because the question makes him afraid, he feels personally threatened, and he's a coward.
