We are staying in Syria

We didn't wage a war of aggression in Syria and take one third of the country to pull out and give up that territory. We are going to occupy that oil rich part of Syria for a long time.

Why do we have a problem with Russia again? Isn't it about them doing about the same thing we are doing? US invasions good, Russia invasions bad. Is that about it?
