the Orwellian nightmare continues unabated in the UK.

A database to 'blacklist' potential employees who've been sacked in the past for being accused of theft or damage etc, BUT NOT ACTUALLY CONVICTED OF ANY CRIME.

The deliberate and systematic dismantling of many of the relatively good things about living in the United Kingdom happened in the 1980s. And it didn't really ever end. I visited the U.K. in 1993/4/5/6/7/8/9, 2000, 2001 and 2006. It always struck me that the Thatcher Decade never really came to an end.
