I eat whale meat. so for me no problem. but i eat dog too.

Dogs are not facing extinction, so that's a different kettle of fish (excuse the pun), you can't compare the two.

I try and be an ethical shopper/eater and I don't even eat cod! Yes, cod tastes nice alright, but it's being overfished so I have made a conscious decision not to buy it. 😞

To what extent is eating one animal more ethical than eating another? How would you explain this?

Is eating an animal that is extensively farmed more ethical than eating some wild endangered species? If you eat some chicken, you are not threatening the very existence of that species. There is a difference of intelligence between the different orders of mammals, birds, and fish and this must be taken into account when deciding how ethical it is to eat any particular animal.
Eating a chicken that's been fed an organic diet, and was free to roam through green fields is of course more ethical than buying battery farm chicken. It makes sense ecologically and ethically.

Eating whales, which scientists have found are mammals of great intelligence is despicable IMHO.

chicken. I prefer chicken hearts and the liver.

Ethical. The niceness of the west.

Most hindus would eat a whale any day before eating a cow..which they would not. are they less ethical?
