I won't bother to explain to you how difficult a decision it must be for parents of such a teen, who feels trapped in their own body and might be considering suicide, to have to face. But by all means keep pretending it's like deciding whether to switch to Wheaties instead of Captain Crunch for them.
Conservatives used to pretend to believe in limited government, now right wingers want the State to intrude on family medical matters as personal as this. I guess finding a minority to oppress is a bit more important these days then ideological consistency.
