In addition to Mr. Trump's nasty comments about women, we now learn that Donald Trump told Howard Stern it was OK to call Mr. Trump's own daughter a "piece of ass" Now many in the GOP are turning their backs on Trump, but it's too late. Many Republican lawmakers are on record as supporting him. They cannot remove Trump from the GOP ticket, and with only a month until the election, Republicans are going to be hard pressed to explain why they spent the last year supporting him. As a party of Christian evangelicals, and (so called) family values, supporting Mr. Trump will damage the GOP for years to come. What does the GOP do now?

During the primaries, when Republicans were asked why they should be president, they always had one answer. It was always some form of "Well... Obama!!"
Now that we're in the General Election season, when asked why he should be president, all Trump can conjure up is some version of "Well... Hillary!!"
Republicans cannot speak to actual issues, because, well, they got nuthin'.
Originally posted by mchill I was asking about the GOP, not Ted Cruz or Hillary. Please read the question before responding. 😉
What does the GOP do? I guess they will do what they always do which is whine and moan and sling poo around like a bunch of monkeys as they cower down to Hillary like they did Obama. When Hillary says jump, they will ask how high?
You all realize this circus to crown Hillary was planned, right?
Ted is still sticking with the Donald even while an avalanche of Republican elected officials bail:
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), who recently endorsed Trump after pointedly refusing to do so at the GOP convention, condemned the video as "disturbing and inappropriate," but did not withdraw his support.

Republicans had some real issues to debate
it was their candidate that had 'nuthin'
Originally posted by whodey It does not take away from the truth of the statement, "New York Values".
It is a state that has the values of Hillary Clinton whom they elected.
What "truth" is that? Are you seriously implying that the majority of people in New York condone men grabbing the "pussy" of women?
You're a partisan shill and a bit of an idiot, but not even you cannot actually believe that.
EDIT: In fact, New York has the second lowest rate for rape for any State in the Union. Cruz's State is 29th and your's is 33rd.http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/03/opinion/sutter-alaska-rape-list/

Rich people should pay less taxes (their "go to" issue for decades) really isn't that popular these days, so they had to come up with something else to harp about.

Nope. People said the same thing at the end of Bush's presidency, when he was often hailed as the worst president in U.S. history.
The same was also said after and endless wave of endless Republican hysteria and childish antics (the birthers, "death panels", record filibusters, government shutdown, etc.).
This situation with Trump is no different. Republicans will never learn from their mistakes; they're only throw blame and try to make people forget. Look how Whodey keeps blaming the left for Trump's rise; he claims that it's "liberals" who voted for Trump, and that Hilary planted him there. Conservatives will never do any real soul-searching. They'll just concoct some breathtakingly imbecilic narrative and move on....just like they've always done.

Here is Trump in 1999 saying that he supported partial birth abortion, among other liberal positions, even though he said he "hated it".
The reason? Trump said in the interview that he was raised in New York and that was how he was taught to think.
As for rapes being higher in Ted Cruz country, do they condone rape in conservative states I wonder? Are you suggesting that conservatives are OK with rape or that it contributes to it in some way, or are you just blowing smoke out your butt again?

It is mind boggling how partisan the country still is even though either party does the same things.
$20 trillion in debt and nothing to show for it, yet we insist on blaming the other half that contributes to the demise of the country.
