the only people disagreeing that we should be in the war is our own loudmouth citizens and "some" uneducated Iraqi's.
no duty to the world? if we did'nt help anyone we wouldn't have any allies! (which we do need)

Our own loudmouth citizens are the only ones who matter in this case.

Well, I don't know if we should do things base on our ego or rep. I could gives a rats butt what others think of the US.

However, I would love to just sit back and let the world run itself and we can focus on our own turf for a while.

Those "few" are the majority.

if people think bad of the USA then we would have many enemy's. sitting back on our own turf is out of the question, imposable, we own the world pretty much and we have to run it.

"20-40 years to pump those oil wells dry and then it's over" - uzless

I strongly disagree to this comment, I do not believe that the war is over oil at all. if you disagree with this comment i'll have you remember 9/11. but perhaps you think it was a government scam?
Here we go again.

Dude, the guys who blew up the twin towers were from Saudi Arabia, not Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Wake up.

However, my comment was not about the reasons for the war....someone posted that the middle east has a big influence on the world and I simply pointed out that once the oil is pumped out there will be no influence to be had by the middle eastern countries.

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

Again, man.

No he wasn't. Every country in the world knows this except for 47% of Americans (according to the most recent US poll I saw)

Bin Ladden and Hussein were not teamed up. It's astonishing how many americans refuse to accept the fact that you were given bad info by your government.

Cheney met with Hussein in the 80's....does this mean that the US support terrorists too?? Of course not. 😞

another point the majority of the citizens of the US voted for Bush. if you elect someone stick with him. you may not like his decision but it isn't yours.

i may be wrong about them teaming up... but how does the government get info to their citizens? through the media who have the power to change somethings.

Sorry AThousandYoung, but you are absolutely wrong. The "few" are, by a considerable margin, in fact, the few. If you know what I'm saying. George W. Bush recently took a poll to determine what the majority of Americans think about this war. Although he probably wouldn't listen to the withdrawal demands despite the protesting. Anyway, in reference to your other comment, "the loudmouth citizens are the only ones that matter in this case". You, again, are wrong. The only reason they are loud is because what they want isn't happening. The rest of the population is getting what they want by having the troops in Iraq, so they aren't yellin' and screamin'. Furthermore, what happened to "One man, One vote" and "All men are created equal"? Also, wouldn't you agree that if we hadn't gone over there they would have eventually come over here? Isn't it better to keep the battle in your opponent's backyard, instead of yours?
