Is there a solution to the problems in this region?
From what I read, the Albanians migrated into Kosovo, which was Serb land. Now they are in the majority, they want independence.
Although, I believe the majority should rule, this seems a bit like a stealth invasion of Serbian territory.
Have I got it soo simplistic?
Any thoughts?

I really do think that we are seeing the beginning pressures of too many people in too small a place.
I expect that because of it's position right smack in the middle of the trade routes for centuries makes the Balkans a place that too many people call "home". Sounds familiar too. The middle east has the same problem. And Georgia and Viet Nam and Burma And Kashmir. And the list can go on all night long. It will get a lot worse before it gets better. I can hardly wait for Nukes to become available to all the "oppressed" peoples of the world. Which will be about twenty minutes after Pervez Musharraf is assasinated. He has been lucky three times since the first of the year. Can't be lucky forever.

Of course, because the Serbs did some ethnic cleansing, they will forever be seen by many as the bad guys and oppressors...

Where is Kosova? It is a state of Serbia correct. While I don't condone ethnic cleansing the Serbs have a right to protect and defend their borders form Albanians illegally crossing and taking over part of the Serbian nation don't they? Look at whats going on now. The albanians are doing the ethnic cleansing so why don't you mention that in your thread.

Here in the states a lot of people think Kosova is a country seperate from Serbia. Then again a lot of people here couldn't find it on the map if their lives depended on it.😏
I thought I had implied that in my thread, I agree with you here. What I meant was, many people will always see the Serbs as bad guys because of the last time. The Albanians are trying to do the same thing and I agree the Serbs should be allowed to protect their own. The Albanians have Albania after all (and London, too by all accounts).
