Ice hockey because those athletes have all of this:
Strength, stamina, speed, agility, and they are incredibly tough based on the visciousness of the hitting.
Before you argue a different sport has better athletes, picture the athletes of that sport playing the sport on ice with skates on, and think if you can make the argument. Example:
Hockey players do everything a soccor player does, but are stronger, tougher (hitting) and play on ice. If full contact hitting was allowed in soccor, and they played on ice, there would be a contest. Otherwise, no. Also, if you have never skated you cant understand how hard it is to do that while pushing a puck - going forward - sideways backwards extremely fast - all the while trying to or trying not to be killed.

Hurling, it's like ice hockey, but without protective gear on most of the players and the ball (sliotar) flies around the place and is caught in bare hands. And the hurley generally has a rusty strip of metal nailed into the end of it, even in the national games.

Remember, generally, they don't have ANY protection on. Sometimes a helmet, but generally not.
Requires all the athletisism of Ice-hockey, with a touch of insane hatred for your own health and safety. The closest approximation of war in peacetime I've ever heard of.
