@earl-of-trumps saidAs compared to who?
I kinda think the white people put men on the moon 50 years ago, invented the computer chip, the internet etc.
I think white people are kool. Very innovative, hard working.
This might be a shock to you, but black people worked on Project Apollo. https://www.floridatoday.com/story/tech/science/space/2019/07/05/nasa-black-workers/1580576001/

Nice to see that you believe US society was so inclusive back then. Things must have declined a lot since then to see what we see today.

@eladar saidYes. It started with Reagan. Radical conservatives have been rising in power slowly ever since then.

Notice how taxes start to drop right around that time. Rich whites resented the Civil Rights movement and the Apollo program so they did everything they could to deny tax funds to the government.
@eladar saidIf you read the article, you'd know that NASA was one of the least inclusive agencies of the US government. However, the Democratic administrations in the 60s did pursue an agenda of increasing diversity in Federal employment.

@dood111 saidNuked Japan.
Apparently, us white folks are terrible creatures and a complete waste of oxygen. Perhaps, to make me feel a little less sad, could some of you good folks let me know some of the beneficial things, apparently very few, people of European descent have done for humanity?
Abolished slavery.
@athousandyoung saidObviously the civil rights act was not needed back then, nice to see you agree with that point of view.
Yes. It started with Reagan. Radical conservatives have been rising in power slowly ever since then.

@no1marauder saidSo you are saying white people were responsible for the US space program. I thought you were arguing the opposite.

@eladar saidWas everyone involved in NASA "white people"?
So you are saying white people were responsible for the US space program. I thought you were arguing the opposite.
No. So it is incorrect to give "white people" credit for the moon landing. This is even more so since it appears those "white people" at NASA deliberately blocked POC from being employed there.
@no1marauder saidLol, ok if you say so. Tell me which black person on the project actually had an key job and was instrumental to the program's success.

@athousandyoung saidApollo program started in 61.
The Civil Rights Act came before the Apollo program numnuts
