you can't really compare eras. Thorpe may of been the greatest athelte of his time, but you cannot compare him to the atheletes of today. You put Thorpe in today's NFL and he would get destroyed. Today's top atheletes are 100 times more dynamic than Thorpe; they are stronger, faster, better conditioned, etc...

they are hopped up on steroids. Thorpe was a natural athlete, much like Cal Ripken Jr.
