Ennio Morricone, suddenly I feel very pro-Israel.

While I'm no fan, I can live with checkpoints between Palestinian and Israeli areas, as seems to be the case here. I often hear about checkpoints within Palestinian areas though, which serve little to no purpose in directly protecting Israelis.

Furthermore, I obviously condemn terror attacks against civilian targets such as this.

Erez crossing isn't on the West Bank but on the border between Israel and Gaza.

Obviously security checkpoints on an international border are necessary. Security checkpoints run by your military in illegally occupied territory are not.

Here's some reports concerning attacks against hospitals that were successfully carried out. http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/2009/01/2009115153549143408.html

No thread was created by sh76 condemning said attacks, however.

Obviously the Palestinians need to improve their checkpoints.

If the palestinians were willing or able to police their own territory then I'm sure Israel could save a lot from not being there. But you see they are not willing or able so you get terrorists roaming freely wandering up to the border and taking shots over the fence. When they show they are willing and able to police their own territory then Israel can leave.
