And as I pointed out, what is acceptable to the majority is determined by the democratically elected government, which dictates the things that are not allowed to be shown on public television channels. Right now kissing gay men are allowed. Don't like it? Vote for someone who will ban it.
I was referring to buggery actual or simulated. Public exhibitions of buggery are not condoned by law (as yet). You appear to be somewhat obtuse if not downright confused.

Many of your "zingers" have a kind of unconsummated, attempted buggery feel to them.

You appear to be completely confused if not somewhat mentally deficient.

Are you claiming there are laws allowing public heterosexual conduct, i.e. holding hands, kissing, etc. but outlaw such acts with same gender couples?

No, I can't. I can type full sentences and respond to you, but I cannot read. I think I need to buy hooked on phonics.

I think the point here (as I've said in another thread) is not that a gay man kissed another man in sight of other people. Not many of us would get worked up about that. The distasteful element is the simulated buggery, which I certainly don't want on my TV screen without due warning.

And before anyone gives the usual predictable response, I feel the same way about simulated vaginal intercourse between a man and a woman!

I think you first need to get yourself straitened out.

Was that intended as a pun?

And what, if anything, do you consider yourself 'a patch on'?

Well, you certainly sound incomplete.

Then why didn't you just say "people kissing in public"? Why did you single out homosexuals, as if that's what made the difference?
because it is what makes the difference.

We've certainly come a long way since the days when Elvis Presley was only shown from above the waist on the Ed Sullivan show because his gyrations were deemed improper for the general public.
