Socially, I am somewhat a liberal.
I respect other people's freedom of religion. As long as it stays out of my daily life.
When I hear the phrase Freedom of Religion, I personally take it to mean Freedom from Religion.
I believe in forward progress in humanity. And that should probably be on a leash as well.
Liberalism is more synonymous with liberty (note the similarity in the words).
Conservatism is more synonymous with restriction of liberties, imo....
I find conservatism views on liberty and freedom to be somewhat contradictory in this regard.
Viewing freedom through the lens of more or less government control is somewhat pointless when the control is handed over to a private entity, eg religious organizations.
I basically support a free market.
So when I ask you what kind of America you want to see, I am looking for your answer from a social perspective.
I'll leave it at that for now, as this post can get longer than intended.
