@AThousandYoung saidAnd yet all we need gets to market and we still sell more overseas or just give it away to other countries..
And it rots in the fields because no Mexicans and white boys and blacks are too lazy
Kinda makes you feel useless, doesn' it?
@AThousandYoung saidOr because illegal labor has dropped the wages to the point where it’s not worth it.
And it rots in the fields because no Mexicans and white boys and blacks are too lazy
@Cliff-Mashburn saidYep, at higher prices.

Nah I'm extremely useful. I am educated in the hard sciences. This is something that is getting more and more valuable as time goes on and the supply for people with this knowledge withers. And unlike, say, history majors, you need my knowledge to do a lot of things like make those pills you old farts take by the handful, agriculture, engineering etc.

Not grown here.
Meats going up because ICE raided the packing plants and now there's no one left who knows how to process the food.
Most Americans now shop at chains like dollar general and Walmart which source food from overseas, a capitalist- driven change that took decades and will take decades to reverse with increased government regulations.
Among other things. SNAPs got nothing to do with it. 4 in 10 of those 42 million people are children. 7 in 10 either work full time or have a parent who does. The rest are mostly temporarily on food stamps because they're going through a rough stretch. Of course there's fraud but not nearly as much as your media personalities want you to think.
@mike69 saidMaybe not the point you think you're making.
Or because illegal labor has dropped the wages to the point where it’s not worth it.
Unless you're trying to say that food prices had been artificially low before trump due to depressed wages and now what we're seeing is the true price of food driven up by Trump administration policies?
Is that your point?
