@averagejoe1 saidBiden? Who sets the budget in Washington? Please defend the budget that the GOP actually voted on in the house. Oh wait, it doesn't exist.
I feel like I am calling your fellers out. Please allow this one explanation of 'the problem'. You will be gelled into reality.
They are all facts, so probably no need to respond.

I kept looking through your link for what the GOP budget committee would prefer but could not find it.
The GOP don't have a policy agenda other than opposition. With the majority in the house, they still do nothing but complain. They don't know how to be leaders. Feckless and incompetent.

@wildgrass saidStart from scratch. Who's budget do you say this is? Is it Truman's? Na, maybe Reagan's? Carter's? Whose is it? Or are you about to change the narrative of who owns the budget, ( a liberal perogative, changing things as it suits them.). Mighty weak argument, but, who's counting....esp we see right through your pitiful answer.

@averagejoe1 saidFrom scratch, the current GOP-controlled congress has the power and authority to write and pass a fiscally responsible budget. A balanced one that reduces federal spending.

Consider the period from 2017-18. No wars, no recession, booming economy. The Republicans controlled every arm of the government in Washington. What do they do? Is this libbies? Libs had no power. It was inept Republicans that increased, actually accelerated, government spending. Massive deficits.
They have held this authority for the majority of the past 25 or so years. Yet you blame libs? You cannot logically explain this except to say that the GOP has no friggin idea how to do anything.

@wildgrass saidHousehold Debt has increased 16% since Biden took over. Income increased by $6000 under Trump.

Why don't you and I quit it and just read our favorite economists' findings. You find yours, I'll find mine. I'm not getting into links, I am more of a realist in such discussions, and I real-see Biden signing off on over $6T since he took over. He did that. Would you have done that? To your grandchildren? Congress draws it up, he could just not sign it, but likes to spend. He spent.
Cherry-pick a link and send it to everyone.
@averagejoe1 saidYou're distracted but it's ok. Focus. I'm not posting links or numbers either Joe. I'm blaming conservatives for the two big problems we constantly rail on about in these forums - immigration and spending. Conservatives keep telling us they can fix these problems. We vote for them. They don't fix it, despite consistent majorities. You blame libs. Why?

Two politicians are standing in front of you. Let's say you want a hot dog with mustard. One politician says 'i can only offer a burger with fries' and the other says 'i can get you that hot dog with mustard.' You give money to the hot dog vendor but it turns out he has no idea how to cook a hot dog, has no mustard, hands you a chalupa, then points to the hamburger guy and says 'its that guys fault'.
Then you give him more money, vote for him again, hoping someday somehow he will figure out how to cook a hot dog?
Libs aren't the problem. You're voting for con men.

“House Budget ranking member Brendan F. Boyle, D-Pa., made clear on Tuesday after the GOP plan’s release that his side of the aisle wouldn’t supply votes during Wednesday’s markup.
“MAGA Republicans are driving our nation towards a costly government shutdown because they want to make cruel cuts to everything from health care to education, and this MAGA budget doubles down on their extreme cuts,” Boyle said in a statement.”

@wildgrass saidaroound and aroouund, WGrass. We could do this all day. Are you saying Trump promised wall but did not deliver? Did Biden promise $450B to the losers to pay off their loans?

Problem Immigration and Spending. Biden has done neither? Gag me,man.

@mott-the-hoople saidYeah, boss. They're not a lobbyist think tank. They actually control Congress. The whole point of being a leader and getting things done IS supplying the votes... Yeesh.

Mott if your house is leaking am I going to sit around blaming the rain, or figure out a way to fix it?
Conservative caucus are a bunch of children in Congress pretending to govern.

@wildgrass saidIf my bank account is leaking, yes, the people in charge, who caused it, should fix it. Enter Biden. Oh, I'm sorry,,,,,you said it was Trump or our congress that caused it. Closing pipeline , opening borders, borrowing $6T. Of course you can write about presidents of yore, but I think your post is about present day.

Shall I list all of Biden's crap for the umpteeth time, like the drain of the immigrants on our system?
@averagejoe1 saidPresent day, conservatives control Congress. They are leaderless and cannot govern. You think they can pass a budget?

Congress also has the power to pass legislation to fix immigration. They choose not to.

@wildgrass saidA bit difficult as they fret over the cost of millions of immigrants that Biden has invited to our country when, in fact, Biden had no plan in place to pay for them. So, you see, they meet on Tuesday morning to figure out how to pay for medical care, legal matters, social adjustment, english language instruction, day care for children, food and shelter, cell phones, the list goes on. So, Biden keeps borrowing money as they scratch their heads, and then on Tuesday afternoon, they get a call from the WH that he wants to forgive SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY BILLION dollars in debt, thus transfering the debt to taxpayers. So, they are juggling balls with no money to do all this.
Present day, conservatives control Congress. They are leaderless and cannot govern. You think they can pass a budget?
Congress also has the power to pass legislation to fix immigration. They choose not to.
So the congress which Wildgrass refers to....their hands are tied. How can they have a sensible budget for the exact guy who has blown it out of proportion? Wildgrass says they have the power to do it....But, in liberal style, fails to say that alas, they do not have the money to do it. He leaves that out. A loser writes posts that do not close. Wildgrass? Any comment on how they can afford it? Do you think Biden should forgive loans for instance?
Loser ville.
Can anyone but Wildgrass answer this?
