When your top candidates are pushing for murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and terrorists, to be allowed to vote while in prison, and seem to favor mass illegal and unrestricted immigration, and also don't seem to have a problem with infanticide, coupled with a much better economy after Trump won office, how on earth can democrats win in 2020?
It is humbling to see a major political party go down in flames like this.
@whodey saidYou mean the political party that smashed the Republicans in the elections less than 6 months ago?

The GOP has lost the popular vote in six of the last seven presidential elections, including Trump v Clinton in 2016.
- so don't start icing the champagne just yet Whodey. π

Last time, I predicted Trump would win. This time around, I think every Democrat (who actually votes) will stand behind whoever the nominee is to oppose Trump.
There are no Hillarys this time around; so that will mean a much higher voter turnout and much fewer votes to third parties, from Dems.
Also, I think some Republicans will switch sides due to their disgust for Trump. The moderate Republicans who felt forced to pick Trump due to Hillary won't have that barrier this time around.
But then again, that's assuming Buttigeg isn't chosen. If he is, then Republicans may stick with their anti-gay beliefs and pick Trump once more.

Oh, you mean looney land, New York and California.
Meh.
When I say landslide, I discount those two states.
@vivify saidSeriously, is Buttigeg really his name or is the Left just parodying themselves?

since winning the house democrats have not done anything but attack Trump, and lost. They do not have a platform other than raising taxes and promising money they cant deliver on.
Just depends on how long it takes people to wise up to them, still plenty of fools around...if you are a minority, ask yourself what exactly did Obama do for you. We all know what he did for queers and baby killers.
@mott-the-hoople saidCalling gays "queers" and women who have abortions "baby killers" isn't the work of a political mastermind in the United States 2020.

@vivify saidI think Biden and a few others could lose to Trump (assuming the Donald is still in office). More importantly, selecting such an establishment Democrat could hurt turnout among progressive groups and make it more difficult to hold the House, retake the Senate and make substantial gains in State elections (necessary so the Republicans can't gerrymander for a decade like they did after 2010).

@no1marauder saidGiven the Moloch-and-Mammon-worshiping country we're talking about, I fear it is.

@whodey saidI guess the Democrats will just have to try and appeal to the non-raving lunatic segment of the electorate.

@shallow-blue saidVery substantial majorities of Americans support the right to gay marriage and to reproductive choice (including abortion):

The United States isn't the country you think it is and Mott wishes it would be.
@no1marauder saidI doubt you'll find anyone accusing Mott of being a "mastermind" political or otherwise
