What happens when there are too many retirees and not enough worker bees? This is already happening in Europe -- the demographics are changing because too many people are dropping out of work in their 50s and fewer babies are being born. And before you say all that can be fixed by immigration, do you really want a large minority population with low education, few skills and hostile to the host countries' values?
In any case minorities amount to 20% of the population here so I'm not too worried about that.
On a side note, I don't think not being able to afford the pensions is a problem, rather not wanting to afford it.

Yeah, smart kids.
And physics is a little hard to "break into", so to speak. You will most likely be another unknown physicist in the shadows of better physicists.
Originally posted by Rajk999I never said I considered it, I just said it was possibility, if needed. On a side note, you can't really "choose" to receive a state pension since everyone gets one, regardless of income, as long as you're not working (though there is a financial stimulus to work beyond age 65).
Smart people dont even consider living off state pension.
So by definition you are missing a couple screws.
Here is some debate ammo for you.
The benifit of good morals. If you careful selected a worthy mate, not just someone that you happen to like sleeping with, but if you save yourself for someone that is fun and can provide for you into the future, then you would not be in this pickle. And when this is done as a society, everyone will have to step it up a bit to better themselves, education and/or skills to make themselves more attractive to a quality mate. Instead, we have here a case of "free love", where the selfish pleasure of sex is the only thing that matters, not if you contribute or better society. When will we get to the point where we are shagging like dogs on the street? You chose this "lifestyle", so stop whining about it.
