...fewer people on planet Earth ?
Wars, starvation, terrorism, diseases, natural curses,pollution...(and so on..) would they be minor problems if world population was, let's say,100 million people instead of + 6000 million people ?
the more people on planet Earth, the more/worse the problems ? True or not ?

While overpopulation may be a factor in many conflicts, history doesn't seem to support the idea that a much lower population would encourage less strife. Violence of one form or another is inherent to human psychology. There might be two people left and they would fight for dominance just as two billion people will.

Contrary to 24/7 news coverage, life today is significantly more harmonious for humanity as a whole than in centuries past.

Perhaps conflict would still exist, but quality of life would sure increase. Less people equals less pollution, less cars on the road, more land to raise a family on, more chance for people like farmers to make a living. The economy would slow down but the world would be a much nicer place to live.

I will suggest that the problem isnt the quantity of persons but the quality of the persons. With each new technology advancment a persons footprint on the planet increases. At the same time the sence of comunity is decreased. How many people know their neigbors? I think that the lack of individual accountability is what is the root of most problems today. Corporate leaders will destroy the enviroment without a sence of ethics, politicans act in the intrest of the rich, and the enviroment and working stiffs carry the burden.

True. Nature tries to redress the balance of overpopulation with plagues, famine, AIDS, and other such 'disasters', whilst the populace itself resorts to wars and genocide from time to time.

Well, it's all due to technology. People can live longer, fight disease with medicine, can be healthier, etc. What do you propose we do? Sterilize people? Have mass purges? Send people to Mars? Genetically engineer children not to have but one child? What are you going to do about it? 1/3 of the people on earth live in either China or India. 1/2 live in Asia. Until then, you might as well live with it.

one child per family would be a good start
sending colonies of people on other planets is also a good idea (in order to get rid of freaks & evil people)
Besides if there was a huge nuclear war that would solve many problems and conflicts on Earth;imagine only 100 million people left after war, people would think twice before making war and wasting natural ressources
