Apart from extending tax cuts for the rich, the Wall Street Journal claims that this controversial tax bill is more of a landslide Dem victory for all the things it carries, amounting to a stimulus 2 via the back door. Also the only problem with the bill is that Obama is not doing a good job selling it, when in fact he has every right to take a lot of credit for the measures it retains to help boost the economy and help those who need it most.

Discuss.

Stimulus 1 did a lousy job; it was too small, relied too much on tax cuts, etc. etc.

This Stimulus 2 is worse in every respect. And will destroy any chances of getting actual job creation ideas passed or even discussed as Obama and the Republicans have further blown up the deficit.

Obama needs to realize that consumer and business confidence is not going to return when the federal government is running huge deficits.

If the Red Sox signed a free agent and the Yankees were praising them for it, the Red Sox fans would be very worried.

So are we saying that Obama will go down in history as the man who was equally hated by both sides?
