Trump spent years cutting Medicaid, even though southern and mid-west whites are the largest group on it. Does Fox News complain? No. Trump drastically cut SNAP (food stamps) which Trump supporters are the single largest recipients of. Does NY Post complain? No.
The list goes on and on,
But MAGA will keep watching right-wing news and refuse to look elsewhere.

It will take several generations for an intellectually gutted America to catch up. Catching up when you fall behind is much more difficult than keeping up when you’re still at least neck and neck with tne competition.

There are thousands of future innovators in college looking for fellowship funding to go to grad school and learn how to be a scientist and now they just won't do that anymore because the funding doesn't exist.
The innovators will move abroad.
