TU from me, Shav.
Everyone who frequently posts to the Spirituality Forum could use a does of this, too. It's a hotbed of backfiring.

It’s a comic. It takes about 2 minutes to read.
And it is actually fascinating.
It’s about how your brain deals with information that challenges your core perceptions.
And why we end up acting like faeces throwing monkeys on this forum.

It is worth noting that hardly anyone has a vested interest these days in getting you to believe anything about the composition of GW's teeth, yet we still might have an emotional resistance to certain possible facts. But with politics and current events, things are far worse.
Our minds are regularly being bathed in propaganda through news and social media and we've all formed a certain worldview with which we filter out anything that doesn't align. Although cognitive blind spots have always been a part of the human experience, we are now the most misinformed generation in this history of mankind.
One takeaway from this is that at the very least we should be far less certain about what we think we know about the motives of strangers, be they politicians in Washington DC or other capitals. That includes me and all of you as well.
(I think that all I have said can be construed as equally critical of me as much as anyone else. In other words, I hope this post does not seem like I'm throwing feces).
