I have been sick for a while, I am a double orgfan transplant recipient and I went into rejection last month. I put my settings to 'vacation' with a note that I would be in the hospital for an unknown amount of time.
during that period the following players saw fit to time out my games with them:
nomad
cyberchess
Snakeye
I would like to thank those many who did not timeout our games and ask for a little patience as I take a day to catch up.
Thank you.
Jamie

I'm fair right now - too many nasty meds for too many days - kind of like chemotherapy for 8 straight days.
the rejection has stopped - and that's a good thing - and I'm sure that within a couple of weeks I'll be doing much better.
Thanks - and yes, by all means - thrash 'em on the board if you ever run intio them.
thanks guys.

Originally posted by JamieAylaI understand your feelings, but some people take the skull without looking at the vacation message. And if you have been playing tournament games, some games may have been timed out automatically, too. Just remember that there are more important things in life than a chess rating (I am sure you are quite aware of that after what you've gone through). And your rating will be back to normal soon if you continue to play.

I bet you would be more angry for the timeout.
Originally posted by RavelloYes, I thought it was pretty good. It is to some. I am tight with my timeouts just like I am with my money. I do take timeouts if no reason is given, and no move attempts are made. I don't wait on the dead. And in this case...it sounds like a good enough reason to wait even if it isn't original. Makes you want to call the hospital to get conformation though doesn't it. And yes I would be angry enough to kick your chess board. And call the chess sheriff. (Not that it would do any good.)

Originally posted by JamieAylaI don't think anything of the kind I am just messing around. Waiting on the next move. And you didn't let your clan down. You can't help it if you become ill.🙂
Oh, please don't assume that I feel anything more than a small 'jerk' response to something like this - it's more the feeling that I've let my clan down.
thanks for letting me vent about it though.
