Yes it's Comic Relief's Red Nose and Big Hair Do Day in the UK today.
RedHotTed has really got into the spirit of things and has even done a Gareth Gates with his hair.

Is anyone here/hair involved in any activities?

Hi Rhymester ... at my University (loughborough) they are selling this red noses everywhere and in the evening there are some events in some pubs and bars ... but, being from Austria, I don't really know what it's all about ... please explain

Basically it's a huge charity event based around Comedy - just as Band Aid and Live Aid were based around music. The BBC dedicate loads of air time to it tonight especially so expect to see many celebrities doing very silly things... Vic Reeves (who's afraid of heights) standing on a tall pole for the whole evening for example.
French and Saunders are doing a spoof of Harry Potter.
The Kumars and Gareth Gates' version of Spirit in the Sky is also raising money for Comic Relief.

my hairs naturally bad right now, so i didn't have to worry about that one...but i put black lipstick on and one of the modern studies teachers put on a concert just for my maths class for the last 15 mins of the day for cash...twas fun!
