Those responsible for the post-mortem falsification were to be charged as a result of the worldwide outcry following this happening two years ago. I haven't been able to find any reference to any trial or conviction.
The original horrific story, according to the Bangladeshi authorities, shows that in the remote villages where society's laws have little effect, illegal (although banned) sharia activities still go on.
