Well, being the idiot that I am, I stayed up all night watching tv after a 5 hour sleep night and now I have to go to church in an hour and I can see this turning out a possibility of 3 ways. #1. I passout and am hated by all at the church (I mean, it's not like any of them have ever fallen asleep in church). #2. I stay awake through church (and a baptism afterwards, god) and passout later or my body has had too much stress and my kidneys fail. #3. I do fine all day. I probably won't be going to sleep till about 11-2 p.m. and it's 8 a.m. right now. I know caffine will help keep me awake but I have heart problems and haven't taken my meds in 2 days so are there any other options for keeping myself awake?
Anyone?

Sit in the last row and sleep in church, quite likely nobody will notice. And if they do, tell them about the disciples who fell asleep while Jesus was praying.
Originally posted by GalaxyShieldI am an insomniac, and I don't drink caffeine either. I don't deliberately keep myself up at night either though. Anyway, when I have a sleepless night, and I have to go to work, I keep myself awake by drinking lots, and lots of water during the day. This does not give you more energy, but since you have to keep answering the call of nature, you can't fall asleep. So, try to sit on the side of your pew, rather than the middle, so you won't bug anyone when you have to keep getting up, and leaving the service.

Surely God can see through you?
