@drewnogal saidGood point. She was being used as a guinea pig.
Dreadful! And of course, the psych tried it first?
The role of LSD in improving mental health is linked to a weakening or 'dissolution' of the ego, helping individuals see the 'bigger picture' beyond their personal problems. For therapeutic treatment, LSD is administered under supervision in a safe environment, such as a psychologist's office."

@fmf saidI tried it at 18. It was a planned experience set up by 3 friends I’d made working at a holiday camp. Only one of them wanted to try it …. so we were given these tiny bits of paper to swallow one morning and told to wander off for the day and to stay within quieter parts of the camp. I felt like I was in another dimension to everyone else but felt safe with my friend who knew ‘where I was at’. We barely spoke all day, it was the weirdest experience.

Found this by Gabor Mate MD, renowned for his work in addiction, palliative care and trauma.
The ayahuasca got rid of my coping mechanisms in a flash, and there I was experiencing something, and I knew then that this is something to work with. And within half a year I was working with people shamanically trained in Peruvian Shipibo tradition, and beginning to lead retreats. We’ve led a number now, and the results are increasingly but uniformly astonishing.

Only baffled at why so many are hung up on the crazy thought that we are all here to live 1x. & Then death forever.
Come on now. I'm pretty confident that I myself have "passed" from death to life, more times than I can even keep track of.
If I was supposed to be dead I'm 100% certain I wouldn't be alive like I am currently.
We have all "passed" from death to life.
For those who do not believe in Holy Spirit/Jesus/God or think that they are dead, your incorrect & when you see that magnificently, beautifully, powerfully, brightest Star of ours you are witnessing a "living" Holy Spirit/Jesus/God.
& Your "saved" simply by seeing it & believing that it is the true light, life, truth of the world. That easily cuts threw darkness exposing the truth. Showering it's almighty power of love & healing energy down apon us.
With out it, there would be no life, light, power.
Only a frozen thundra with out any possibility of any kind of life.
Everyone knows & remembers that our big, beautiful, all knowing, all powerful, all worthy, closest Star, our Sun is & always will be on a upward spiral journey that never ends.
So you scientists that lie with your "bull sticks", you can stop with you theories that are as fake as the ones your trying to sell them
Peace be with you my friends,
S.L.K.
@drewnogal saidI too experienced (twice) “acid”. The first time was very scary because I wasn’t aware of being given it. At a party a “friend” had slipped some into my drink. The next, and final, time that I had it was completely different, very…enlightening.

@torunn saidYes but so was Mary Jane, along with a plethora of other “experience enhancers” and if you knew the “right people”, anything was available…not unlike always really. It was in the mid sixties and there was a lot of experimentation going on.

@great-big-stees saidNot in my country, I believe, at least I never had those challenges. 🙂

@torunn saidI never thought of them as challenges, more like scientific experiments. By the way they were brief…well the chemical ones.

@great-big-stees saidI think Sweden and Scandinavia were a bit behind the rest of the world in some cases, such as drugs.

@torunn saidI remember when I was heading to Spain back in 1966, I was “warned” not to bring in any substances because no matter the type, if caught, you would be sent to jail/prison and the key thrown into a very deep and dangerous lake. I gladly complied. I did however experience their jail hospitality on a different matter.😲😁

@great-big-stees saidYou would have had to stay there a lot longer had not your common sense been activated. 🙂
