i had to use an external email address from work when i signed up (work one didn't work for whatever reason)
now i want to start a new account, and subscribe with it, to start afresh, ie basically have a clean slate when i begin my subscription,
is there:
a) a way of deleting this account so that i can sign another up to the same email address
b) if i just never use this account again and start another is that gunna break a rule somewhere somehow?
cheers,
Ed

Post in the Site Help forum. Some mod should pick it up and you should be ok.
I predict a riot.

Deciding never to come back to RHP.Forgetting you were ever here , you email addresses and passwords.Selling your PC. Moving Home.etc
Going into relapse. having memory loss.
Waking up one day. Thinking " hmm. i fancy some chess.Lets see what google has to offer."
Finding RHP. Signing up .
And never interacting with your old accounts, becasue you forgot all about them.
PS. I would change your appearance too. And your style of play.
Originally posted by edkalaherI would say just use the one you have I don't really see much of a reason to want a new account unless you don't want the same name but you could just put up with that (I've regreted my email address for ages now). Also yes it would break a rule.

Post why you want another account. I might be able to suggest something.

I want to change the name of the account, that's aesthetics really,
and simply, unashamedly, want to wipe my record, it's not "that" bad, but I hadn't played chess for a long time prior to coming on here, so kind of wanted to have a few weeks of remembering roughly how to play,
now i want to subscribe, to get the benefits of that, and to support websites such as this that give a lot to their users, and so i'd like to do so ... starting afresh

I doubt you can make a clean start though.
Email adresses can be changed by ourselves in My Settings/My Personal Settings.
Originally posted by edkalaherhey, you're not that bad... stuffing your provisionals isn't much of a big deal and you would have an opputunity to play many games at once and pull your rating back up. ho, 5 out of the 8 games i lost was from being timed out on a holiday 😠😠
