Yes indeed. The whole purpose of any holiday is to relax. Dos cerveza por favor.

It was my girlfriends fault who wanted to see all of Europe in just a few months, had I been single I would have went to Thailand or India. In the whole of 2014 I was in Cologne for just a few days as my only vacation so needed a break... not that flight to flight around Europe can be considered a break, by the end I was exhausted.

My wife and I always argue about holidays.

This year I wanted to go to Brazil and she wanted to come with me.

But that week was worth so much to you, I'm sure. Other people who travel a lot more may not enjoy their trips half as much as you did yours. ๐Ÿ™‚ I look forward to a trip in the spring that I suppose I can't afford really but I'll do it anyway.
2015, not so much, my big trip: Allentown Pa to Cleveland Ohio, huge 500 mile road trip๐Ÿ™‚

few years back it was way different, one job on Andros Island, Bahamas (semi secret British submarine base there called Autec, awesome job) and then 2 years in Thailand, coming back through Hong Kong, Taipai, Tokyo and to SF Calif.

Few years after that, to Israel for 4 years, then back through Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, London, and back home, then a year later back to Israel to visit friends and back the same way on British Airways, I thought a great airline.

Now, captured in New Jersey job while living near Allentown, Pa, 160 mile (250 km) two way commute, which sucks but at 74 you get the job you can find anywhere you can find it. The job is great, just the commute sucks.

If you count commute miles though, in 2011 I bought a little commuter car which had 19K miles on it and now in 2015, it has 140,000 + so 4 years, 120K miles, 30K per year.

So I could have driven around the equator 4 times by now if there was a road there๐Ÿ™‚

Shoulda called me when you arrived in Cleveland I coulda paddled a straight line from my place across Lake Erie and taken ya out for a beer. Maybe next time. ๐Ÿ™‚

We went to a mountain resort town called Batu, 20 km north west of Malang in East Java, and nestled in amidst four volcanoes, accessed by a windy road through thick forest ~ crisp temperatures during non-daylight hours ~ never overly hot even at noon ~ good food ~ the novelty of staying in a luxury villa [with a fabulous stereo system!] ~ adventure park ~ East Javanese food ~ extended family action.

Well, we had a few anyway๐Ÿ™‚ We stayed at the Westin hotel Cleveland downtown.
Wife got rather badly injured 3 minutes into it. There was a small rise in the asphalt painted yellow and it looks just like a painted line but she tripped and now has to have 2 hand operations, damage to ligaments and tendons.

The bad part was the bell boys said Wow, that's the third one today.

Then found out later this tripping thing has been going on for several years and they (hotel people) never repaired by making it into a smooth ramp kind of thing.

You can bet litigation is on its way. In fact their lawyers already consider my wife to be a litigant.

That hotel must be owned by an idiot. Did you say it was a Trump hotel?๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜€

Hey when ya get your millions buy a yacht and motor over to Ontario (Port Stanley has a nice marina) and we can meet on you yacht, I'll bring some good Canadian beer. Seriously I hope your wife's surgeries go well and good luck with the litigation.
