Some speculate about the recipient being of an inferior importance
when addressing the subject of cocktails.

I beg to differ. I have discovered that my taste protests rarely if my
cocktail before every supper is served in a Gobelet Harmonie
from the distinguished glass house Baccarat*. The cocktail? Of course,
as savored on a frequent basis by Her Majesty, just as her gracious
mother did (may the Lord rejoice in her company), is 3 ounces of
Dubonnet** and 1 ounce of Bombay Sapphire***, mixed tenderly
with a silver teaspoon in the Gobelet Harmonie, where previously
a delicate layer of purified ice cubes has been placed with a slice of
lemon in the bottom.

Do you ask with what delicate snack I side such a delectable aperitif?

With potato skins bathed in Ranch dressing****, of course!
Good Lord, the mere question is quite offensive!

Seitse, so very pleased you launched this rarified and lovely highbrow thread.

Imagine the squawks if an aging nonentity presumed to do the bold deed?

I almost forgot about the musical score for such a delightful aperitif.

Care to suggest something?

Let's delegate the important details to the attention of our senior staff.

I was gunna say that before deciding to delegate the selections to staff.

"Dubonnet**"... assume the choice is 'Blonde' (as the Rouge would seem to intrude excessive sweetness) or even the white Lillet.

well, i guess you may as well delegate to imaginary staff here, since you obviously would never have been in a position to delegate to staff in the real world.

sheesh! does this guy ever tire of trying to make himself sound impressive?
